"While the guys were friendly, and the quality of work was alright (screw holding the strike plate on the pedestrian gate catches, bottom hinge is also loose so I have to tap it back occasionally until I tighten it) the initial install dragged on due to the owner constantly delaying and juggling jobs. The king of over-promise, under-deliver. At the end of the project I had to nag for a month or so to get the gate put on its own circuit—something we had agreed before. Finally, they had promised to inject grease into one of the hinges which never happened either. After a year, the gates began opening and closing non-stop. The owner promised to come fix it by Friday that week, then I heard nothing. I texted on the Thursday asking when he'd be coming, then called on the Friday—he ignored it. Leaving me with faulty gates for a couple of weeks. Because the gates were malfunctioning and failing to close properly, someone was actually able to force their way into the property through them, making the owner's complete lack of response even worse. I had to open the recessed motor boxes and figure out how to fix them myself, and here's what I found: the bolts holding one of the heavy-duty motors had not been tightened, causing the entire unit to shift under torque. Further, in both units the mechanical limit bolts either weren't set or the nuts weren't tightened to prevent them from coming loose over time, meaning the gate over-traveled and kept tripping the sensor. I’ve tightened the loose structural bolts, greased the hinges they skipped, and reset the limits myself. The gates now work perfectly, no thanks to this company. They could have just said if they were busy or pointed me in the right direction. Wasting a customer's time and ignoring calls is bad enough, but leaving high-torque machinery loose in the ground I'd argue is a safety issue as well—if I didn't have two brain cells to rub together I could see someone crushing their fingers trying to remediate this sort of thing. This all happened a couple of months ago and I still haven't heard back from them to this day, so they can have this review instead."
